Send them a picture of your eyebolts with the nice radiused transition to show them how it should be done.
There is a YT video on building rockets (I think it is by Smarter Every Day) where they talk about factors of safety. I think they said on the rockets, it is less than 1.1. This is because the cost of putting weight into space is more than the cost of doing very thorough calculations. The term is wrongly-named. It should be factor of uncertainty. The less you are absolutely sure of something, the bigger the factor has to be.
