Hopefully I should be starting to rebuild. It's been steam cleaned. Will take it back to bare metal then paint.

How do you steam clean it? Is there another toy I need?

I have a diesel powered hot steam cleaner.
I cover it in gunk. Leave it for 10 mins and then blast it....sorted. cover the ways in oil temporary

It's took about day and a half. With cups of tea in between. All parts are placed in creates so I no where all bits go. It's time consuming and can be frustrating at times but I enjoy doing it

Today's task.
Separate the bearings from the belt rollers.
These bearings will need replacing .

Just boring painting of brackets and bits.

i take it its tapered slightly

did some work on the DSG this morning turned the lead screw end for end easy job remove lid off feed box and flange knock out roll pin remove shaft turn end for end assemble drill hole through for roll pin
half nuts had very lttle wear its amazing the soft stuff tends to wear the harder material

Today I picked up and installed the belt rollers bearings. Another job done.
