It's drizzling.

Today was a scrubbing day, with acids.

First, the citric. Painted on and scrubbed off with wire wool.

Then, after a thorough hosing, phosphoric.

I'll let that dry, then wire brush the lot .

And, hopefully, find the time to wash with detergent.

Not washing up liquid type, as that's got a lot of salt in it.

All done. Quick sand and paint the zinc phosphate tomorrow. My second adventure with 2k.

That went well enough.

I scrubbed everything with a scotch rite pad. And wirebrushed the rougher stuff again.

Then, I got out the weighting scales and Pyrex jug. Between the two of them with a couple of advisors helping, I marked up a paint kettle, yoghourt pot, for 3 to one

Mixed up the sigmafast and started painting.

One litre almost did the exterior.

I ran out of time so didn't do the inside. Tomorrow.
Then, hopefully, the jotamastic!!!

And the inside. Another litre did this comfortably.

I'll leave it for a few hours and then do the outside with the jotamastic.

Very pleased with my new face mask, zero fumes and no headache.

Hurts the top of my nose, but worth it. I've a very low tolerance to VOCs so it's great to be able to use the paint with no consequences.

What mask are you using?, I tend to paint outside, but having COPD anything to protect my lungs is useful.

It's a 3m knock off. Organic filters. eBay special.

The outside has had the jotamastic applied. At first, I wasn't convinced, but it went on well and seems to be tough. Though each of the coats of paint would be adequate on its own, so I'm happy with the three layers.

The green grey was growing on me, the grey jotamastic, not so much.

We're still debating the top coat, anthracite grey has my vote, but it's too dark, apparently.

same here i prefer that colour myself

its not on the roof where by regs it has to be so leave as that colour due to reflection

No hose pipe ban here. I bought the paint on line. Getting to Glos is a half day and a chunk of diesel, so delivered is best.
