Well, quite. Either way I'm pleased to have got one. I'm just getting set up for scraping it this evening.
Was impossible

Going to get it scraped and painted over the break. Many thanks to Pressbrake for getting this cast and planed for me. This size bevel straight edge is impossible to find.

Pete has suggested making some 12” ones
Scraped in the sole of my straight edge,
Just got to do the bevel now.
Wow that looks smart!

Bedding curls, good old English pattern know known as Moore patternAn even bigger straight edge. A beautiful 48" Windley which has done no work at all, I only use it for checking/scraping other straight edges. It's a heavy bugger though, about 30kg. Doing the sole was easy because I could put the 30" on top of the big'un but for the bevel I've had to keep picking up the 4 footer and turning it over to print the bevel face. My arms are aching now.

Still got all it's original scraping intact:

So you're not aiming for an specific bevel angle, just a consistent angle down the length of it?An even bigger straight edge. All scraped now. Here's some photos of the last of the scraping, along with a pic of the new straight edge along side the 48" Windley.
