Our youngest has a thing about "bags for life". After a shopping trip I emptied the bag and heard a rustling a short time later. It was Potato. Cats + shopping bags are not very hygienic so I shushed him out the bag. He got the handle caught around his neck and went running through the house being chased by a bag for life. He ended up under the couch. I got my arm under to try and free him. The handle was tight around his neck and him struggling was only making it worse. I got him free and he went on his way, but now I swear he thinks I tried to strangle him that day. I get a dirty look shot at me before he goes and sits on my wife's knee.

My Cat managed to do exactly the same and the sight of her running round the house with a giant carrier bag shaped parachute was hilarious for all the all the wrong reasons. Eventually managed to get it off her but even now the sound of rustling plastic has her running for cover

I was polishing my Beemer yesterday and one of out cats seemed very interested, she is almost 14, so thought less inquisitive, but no next thing she is on the seat watching me!

He’s a tabby but really light underneath

His brother lives a street away and is really dark in comparison, both are poles apart in attitude

Yes, he does have that look about him. We have a Bengal cat that comes into the garden and plays with our cat. They go mad for half an hour or so then go their separate ways.

That’s my ‘lodger’! He is, at the moment, sleeping on my chair in my workshop. Apparently, my work for today is over.

Cats have grown a lot

The 14 year old cat we recently took in had a stroke and had to be put down. We were devistated as we'd only had her for 7 weeks yet had already fallen in love with the little thing. Despite having four other cats, and two dogs, we decided that we'd give a home to another elderly cat so approached the local rescue charity. There were inundated with kittens so the older cats were being overlooked and invited us to see what was ready for rehoming. Instantly I fell for a 3 year old tabby and he's now home with us. He's been with the charity for 3 months and they were delighted he was finally getting a forever home. He's far younger than we were planning but hopefully we will have many happy years with him

Sorry to hear about the old soul, but at least you gave her 7 good weeks. That’s the hardest thing about adopting older pets, and I admire you for taking her on.

My family are over from Ireland and mentioned how big his manecoon is, my little kitten is 2.5kg his is 12.7kg and is 2!!!
