When we had 4 tabies they used to all come across the fields for a walk most Summer evenings.
They would spread out in a line either side of me & come for treats when name called not in a bunch,
Mischa the old one died 20+ the other 3 never went for walks again.
All our cats are rescue or just turned up

"This" occasionally sleeps with us. Luckily we have a super king size as it likes to sleep perpendicular to us. It even has it's own pint pot of water on the bedside table.
That's me to the right!
How I laughed last night when it trod on my head twice going to and from getting a drink. Even funnier was then I was awoken at 02.45hrs to the sound and sight of it projectile vomitting all over the duvet. I shooed it downstairs calling it the C word usually reserved for cyclists. After helping swbmo strip the bed I dutifully went downstairs to get the Detox etc. Cue the cat seeing me from its now perch in the lounge and making a bolt for the back door. Vomitting whilst it ran it managed to coat the dining room carpet, threshold into and kitchen floor.
I love cats.

As the children have grown older and independent, SWMBO has transferred her affections/attentions to the cat, turning rapidly into her late mother. If she sees him from the window "He wants to come in!" If indoors "He's hungry!" If he kills anything "He's only brought us a present!"
I'll often hear her say "I had a crap night, the cat had all the covers!"

The bloody black killer brought us his favourite delicacy today, a huge grey squirrel, much to the disgust of our neighbours.
Excellent Cat, tell him to keep up the good work and kill as many Merkin Tree Rats as possible!
