He had a looong wait tonight.
I also bought one of those flappy fish toys the other day that cats apparently love.
Yea, right! The Lodger wandered over to it, poked t with his nose, and set it off flapping. Closely followed by said Lodger set off flapping in great fear and dread.
I immediatly switched it off, but he runs past it now, just in case…..
And don’t get me started on the watering can incident today. One drop of water landed next to him, and I didn’t see him for dust. Lordy, that cat is a woose, unless you are mouse sized.

One of our cats is even more of a wuss than that. She will run from the tiniest drop of water, but she's also been known to run away from a sparrow. She's never caught anything in her entire life (although she has run at a few birds, albeit from a long distance away and without any attempt at stealth), but we still didn't expect her to be terrified by a sparrow deciding to take off from the bush she was lying next to. She was so scared she ran into the house!

In my job, getting searched in and out of sites is a common thing.
But today is the first time I was searched for Cats.
Yes Cats.
Not the kind you find under cars, what Mr Pie & Key will steel.
But the fur balls with claws.
I was working in a Cat rescue centre today, fitting 56 new extinguishers.
There was cats every were.
Put a hand in the tool bag to grab a tool, get a furry blanket.
Empty a box, normally we step on it. Not today, flats cats are not a good thing.
Tamper tags are a cats new toy.
Go to van, get more stock, check twice before shutting the doors.
Sit down to do paper work, check.
Don't sit still for to long, cats will sit on you.
In all.
A good day.

Acquired a cat as a stowaway in our work van many years ago, working on a farm installing poultry feeding equipment. Brought it back the next day but farmer didn't want her, took her home again and she was a great friendly companion for years.

This guy.. This cat brought in a live mice last night to play with, and it escaped.
It scared the kids several times during the evening, the cats chased it but it escaped several times. I thought I got it locked in the bathroom and put in traps, but it escaped during the night. However a cat had finally gotten it and it lay dead in the morning, finally.
