Posative thoughts best of luck. We had one go awol for 6 months then strode in as if nothing happened Spent days wandering around looking for him rattling treat tin.
Stay away from that strange man young Jimmy there he goes rattling his sweaty tin again

Trying to make for GFM's place ?
Friend moved cat made a 40 mile journey home to his old house, how the hell did it know where it was let alone which way was the return journey

Birmingham to Hertfordshire, I think he'll get lost

There are plenty of other cats (his mum and brothers too) at her mums, he did seem to be calling for someone here

Talking to another Cat person, who said they moved from Glasgow to near Edinburgh cat found its way to old home took 12 months the people who bought the house new them & recognized the cat

And he's back

Kept the Bluetooth speaker on in the back window, with a motion detection blink camera,
She got an alert just now and there he was trying to follow the voice and jumped back in.

Does look like he may of got trapped somewhere.
House completed today, didn't feel like we could really celebrate, definitely can now, he'll have his own room

Again no sleep.
For one cute reason.
As I went to go to bed I saw a pair of green eyes looking through the glass on the back door.
It was a dank wet night.

Opening the door was a sad mess of black fur in the shape of a cat. She allowed me to scoop her up in my only clean work jumper and take her in.
Keeping hold of her, e got a clean fluffy bath towel.
2 toewels later we have a damp black cat.

Heating on, wrapped in a dry towel, near a radiator, I fix her some dry food and a bowel of water, both went, so another and this was slowly eaten.
There was a red collar on her, but no details.
8am we went to a local vet. well we were waiting outside at 8am.

Vet were fantastic, as I had no booking, but no one else was waiting we were taken in.
Cat was scanned for a chip and checked over.

Chip was found, details retrieved.

The owners were contacted and on their way, from 35 miles away.

Cat is safe with the vet.

But I did get something out of this.

Free coffee.

Black cat update.

Cat is safe at home.
The owners lost her 4 weeks ago, been looking for her local to them.
How she got her is a something we may never find out.

The vet will take the money they wanted to give me and split it between 4 animal charities they support.
I got more free coffee.

We had our cat go walkabout when I was about 12, he jumped in the back of a mobile fish sellers van and started snacking. The driver found him in the back making a pig of himself and evicted him. Trouble was, this was on the other side of Coventry so he had a few miles to cover before he got back. Took him about 2 weeks and he was a bit thinner than when he left.
