Said goodbye to Alfie cat about and hour ago: stopped eating and drinking on Friday and lost a lot weight. Lived to 15, at 10 he had a stroke, went blind and could only walk in circles, slowly recovered from the stroke. We had decided on the advice of the vet to have him put down after the stroke as he seemed paralysed, when we talked about it he promptly got up and walked accross the living room.
Was with him til the end with the vet tonight, we was an easy going cat, will be missed.

Sorry for your loss, it is never easy. At least he had a great life with people that cared.

I generally like most cats, this tiny packet was found abandoned in a forest, with its siblings about a year ago. We adopted it.
And named it Bob. It grew up bottle fed by us, adopted by our dogs, slept with them until he became adult. Thinks he's a dog ?
A year later...
It has taken to eating through plastic bags, to get to cake and bread, but Sunday morning it outclassed itself by attacking a brand new bag of flour.
It's not like it always has cat biscuits.
Never known a cat do that ?

I've actually trained our cat to attack SWMBO on command. "Bite Mummy!" and it goes for her ankles as she walks from the car up the garden path.
Of late this has progressed to "Chase Mummy!" whereby it legs it up the path after her and then savages her. Doesn't bother with me as I'm always wearing riggers or walking boots.
I shouldn't take all the credit. When we'd come back without one kid, dropping back at uni or for a sleepover, it'd count us in and if one was missing get the right ar5e. We think it tries to tell us we've "forgotten" one and belts you to tell you.

I had a box of beer and half way through putting it into the fridge the cat jumped in and sat on the bottles

Jaspers in the Sh*t , Jaspers in the Sh*t , Jaspers in the ......Several packets of new clothes arrived in time for a few days away . Alison left them on the bed along with a pair of scissors she'd used to snip open the tops of plastic packets before having to leave them in the opened bags .
Whilst we were out for three hours he's managed to get things out , have a fight with them & the bed and exhausted has fallen fast asleep .
Two of the blouses are shredded where he got his claws stuck in them , judging by the state of the bed sheet he's had a whale of a time . Bstd ! ......that's £84 worth of ruined blouses , still looking on the bright side , Al doesn't have to unpack the clothes........ but I'm not telling her that .
