4 now. I would have like to keep her two brothers that were dumped outside that morning but they went two doors down. She ended up stuck down the side of my workshop. Around 6 weeks old then, they all had fantastic temperaments.

My cat rolled over this morning indicating " I want to play " , I stroked his offered belly and the sodding thing bit me hard on the back of my left hand , drawing blood that bled for 5 min ..........BSTD!
I.ve disinfected the punctures with a strong Dettol solution and treated the holes with Savelon ..... 9 hrs later my left hand is swollen and hurting like hell around the bite area. .
Looks like it's going to be a long uncomfortable night .

Probably all the dettol and savlon. Had cats do this countless times, I've never bothered disinfecting the scratches. It's mainly been tom cats that have done this, females seem less feisty.

Get thee down to A+E pronto. I have had that happen to me and you risk losing a limb if the infection gets into your tendons.
At the very least you will need a tetanus topup. Meanwhile I'll do a search for the thread I surely posted before all the naysayers shout "rubbish"...

Our cat bit me and locked on with front paws/claws and started kicking with his back legs.
Simple solution. I raised it like a stabby fur glove and clamped my teeth firmly round the back of his neck with an accompanying growl.
Cat instantly let go.

It is factually true that an infection in a biologically sterile area can lead to permanent damage and potentially the loss of a limb. I am not sure what you think you are arguing with or how your comment is in any way helpful. A cat bite specifically one to the hand can have extremely serious consequences and I am happy to share that hard won information whether you "believe" it or not.
...and yes, now @DAPPH does indeed know whether or not to go to A+E. He can make an informed decision. My work here is done.
