Liquid skin is very good for cat bites and scratches....it's also great for garage bites and scratches too!

It seals and disinfects...I find stuff heals in half the time when I use it (not scientifically tested by me...just an unqualified opinion!)

Top two pictures two hours before going to minor injuries clinic ( MIC ) on advice from GP after they saw the pictures vial email appoinment at 10.00 hrs , went to the head of the waiting queue once they checked what the GP had said .

Bottom two taken about 15.30 hand much more infected , anout 3/4hr after being administered separate antibiotics for aerobic and anaerobic bacterial infections plus a tetanus shot . It hurts like hell & I feel groggy if the infection gets past the hospital marking lines it's off to A &E to have it cut open , irrigated and be put on drips for a day of so .
Seems that Jasper punctured a bone or tendon when he bit me.

MIU people reckon that cat bites to toes or hands like this are a very serious infection problem , Seems I am lucky to have got treated in time & put on the likely to be an emergency admission list for tonight or tomorrow . .
The dark blood spot is where Jasper bit me deepest ,, it bled for a good five minutes.
Dettol & Savelon were good moves on my part , without them things would have been much worse this morning.

My assumption is that he has avoided surgery by a whisker (sorry) by getting prompt medical attention rather than "being a man" and letting it rot. Like I said earlier, the window of opportunity for avoiding a very serious infection is measured in hours...

The sling will be to elevate the arm to promote circulation and healing, plus you want to immobilise it because moving it hurts like hell!

I am pulling your leg because I appreciate it is not widely known, few people realise just how dangerous a cat bite is until they get one. At which point, the clock is ticking...

Seem to remember reading that there can be a big difference between a scratch and a bite...did the right thing there I reckon and just in time by the looks of it.

I'll be more careful in future I think...so far I've been lucky as my cat is a right little sod!
