Let’s ban walking, 100% of pedestrian deaths are caused by it.
Missed that one. aids combustionAnd oxygen... every person who comes into contact with it dies
Ruins wine and beer tooMissed that one. aids combustion
Not the worst idea on the threadBan procreation, 100% of idiots are caused by people shagging
Nobody needs more, spot on! (Apart from the slush-box )
Depends on the person using the saw.
An example. I once knew of a guy using a finning machine, he chopped the tip of his finger off. His workmate said how the *&!@ did you manage that and the guy said just like this and proceeded to chop another off.
One thing, he probably doesn't like touch screens either seeing he will not having fingertips to work themDarwin's theory at its finest .
Modern cars are infinitely safer in my opinion.
Cruise control has now advanced to adaptive cruise where it will follow the vehicle in front at a set distance and will show down and speed up to suit . Mine also has blind spot indicators , lane departure warnings , 360 cameras . It will even assist you with braking at low speeds if a pedestrian runs out in front of you. ( fun when there is someone on a ferry stood in front of you, directing you to where they want you be and the vehicle refuses to move forward ). And it will park itself too.
( they should make this compulsory for some drivers as the standard of parking these days is atrocious)
I’m in the camp where all these systems ( including touch screens etc) enhance your drive and make it a safer place to be.
They don’t make you a better driver though , if you are an inattentive crap driver then you will always be.
Beats searching around for that lost cassette tape that dropped under the seat as you drive along
K.I.S.S. Compare that to the latest space ship dash layout and tell me they are better in any useful way.
A/C and climate control, for starters. Decent sound system, built in sat nav, bluetooth hands free, then all of the other tiny little things that just make driving a little bit more comfortable.K.I.S.S. Compare that to the latest space ship dash layout and tell me they are better in any useful way.
Unless you were looking at the touchscreen, in which case the auto braking would have complimented the touchscreen perfectly. Fine example of one technology solving a problem created by another. Win win?The (thankfully now gone) VW caddy had an auto brake thing, only activated once when a van in front decided to slam on, I would have been able to stop but it reacted far quicker than I could

Nah, it never sits around long enoughRuins wine and beer too
So more interested in the music than driving perhaps. But I wasn't, I was driving along, using my Alexa to control the music

I suspect even though we all think we’re the bees knees at driving, technology might have helped us out in the past. Abs being one fine example I can think of.So you, based on a few lines I have posted, are now inferring that without the aid of the van I would have crashed?
The reason it surprised me was because I was already on the brakes, and the van decided to brake much harder
The hateful thing has gone now anyway
