Standard insulated tools that you shouldn’t need unless you’re inside the hv drive battery removing cells.
You isolate the battery before working on motive system just like any other electric system

An MoT Tester told me ( not in any detail) that there are some very necessary safety protocols that have to be impemented when an EV goes on the ramp - to do with safely Earthing the vehicle and isolating the electrics. Not sure if it's capacitance discharge or something else - but he said that MoT Testers are being warned in no uncertain terms that any shock is likely to be lethal.

On that basis - I think I'd want more than some Marigolds and a Rubber Car Mat

I’ve also heard that women shouldn’t travel in them as if they go above 30mph their uterus is liable to fly from their body when they are accelerated at such velocities. I think I read this on Facebook so I’m pretty sure it’s a fact.

The red top Vauxhall engined cars had a bit of reputation for being boat anchors and not liking rapid changes of direction.

I have a pretty powerful Rover k-series in mine, a lot lighter, and it's not shabby at flicking from turn to turn.

Bike engines ones though . . . jeez!

It's as easy as this. Keeping everything else the same and just adjusting springs rates, etc, in proportion, a 1000kg version of a caterham would ride better. It's just basic vehicle physics.

But then it wouldn't be a Caterham . . .

It might ride bumps just the same as it does now though - very well, with no leaping into the air, no deviations from chosen direction. Its got the right shocks, springs, wheels, tyres for a lightweight car.

And now that extra 400kg has to be controlled over dips, crests etc - so no, I don't agree.

I'll have to try to remember to ask him next time I see hi (the MoT Tester).
My memory is sketchy enough of the time - but maybe something about static build-up was at least part of it? As in grounding the car before working on it on the steel ramp

As a domestic trade I'm working at people's houses daily.

Some method of billing electric use from a dedicated socket to bill a end user would be very handy

Bet that had these huge companies rubbing their greedy little hands together.

Why can't we tax the hell out of the profits gained by exploiting the planet instead

Virtually every tax ends up passed on to the consumer.
I doubt that corporations will need to be involved, inflation in a very few years can raise prices by far more than 45%.

That's where price caps come in. Force the tax to come from profits.
Somebody might have to go without a super yacht somewhere along the road but hard cheese.
