Most people on here are saying for a family road car it makes not a jot of difference and it’s simply a non issue. Why do F1 cars - and all other racing and sports cars have bigger tyres at the rear then?
Remember when a car accelerates the weight transfer is to the rear - hence wider tyres at the back to provide more traction under acceleration.
Also when people are going for more economy they over inflate their tyres - which makes the contact area smaller - hence less friction and better economy.
And yet most people on here still say wider tyres don't offer more grip? Not logical.
