They are actually exhibiting at Mach this year.

No problem mate, it’s not for everyone and I’ve never financed something I’ve needed for work.

Yes this thing is like new when you look at the circuit boards etc. For example here is a pic I took the last day of the complete insides.

Its hard to tell when zooming in,but there are 2 x 4 through hole resistors on the bottom of that board,each side of a connector.
Is the 5th one burnt?

It must be about the only section of the PCB's that I don't have a close up pic on
Zooming in on the original isn't that clear but it looks ok I think.

im sure that pcb is repairable though,there is a fella on ebay who repairs expensive welders and sells them fixed.
He has a couple of pulse migs and even a phoenix atm so knows his way around these.
the turnaround is long as he brings them to bulgaria.i sent him two ewm tigs so shipping was cheapish.whether he needs your whole machine or just the board i dont know

Yes definitely worth checking out as I would have loved it just to be something stupid like a resistor.

I have seen that guys listings, says the welders are located in Guildford I think but the user name has BG or something in it. May end up going that route, will just have to see how things pan out.

^^^ Sorry guys these are inductors, as indicated by the 'L' and are rated in 'mill henry'. Please no pun intended.

Again looking at them they are 100mh and 5% tolerance. That is going by the colour code, I may be wrong as going by memory

Got a price for a replacement PCB but sadly it is too much for me even with the very kind offer I got from Jim.

Imo It’s worth looking further into before binning it.
Ewm will only advise on that as a replacement board.
Boards can be repaired much more cost effectively.
If you have a good service manual and a good understanding by it a few board checks may lead to the faulty component(s).
@HughF might be up for checking and repairing it. He repaired one of mine.
That’s probably fixable for a good chunk less than an oem board.

I’d rather bin it than sell it to some engineer cheap that gets it fixed and moves it on for a massive profit.
That would make me feel rather bitter.
