done some propshaft chopping today so realistically with a few more welds it can move under its own power

Maybe consider once it's all connected and working to your satisfaction, a generous spraying with ACF50 to keep the water nymph at bay in the connectors?

Rc car days always taught me get a balloon and stretch over the problem. Then a cable tie around the opening.
This way will cover 90% at least and only water track opening is through the loom itself.

Looking forward to a video of it moving.

loving this build, my hats totally doffed to you Jaffman , re snow , finish the car with large twin exhausts and just drive in reverse to act as snow blower ! joking aside much prefer the standard car look when finished , hope the rest of the build goes well for you.

there’s no reason it shouldn’t once I plumb the engine with fuel and bolt the TB back on

Its fairly easy if you just focus on the 4 ecu plugs. You only need to wire 4 cables up and it’l start lol.

I can only suggest you get on Facebook and join some 1uz groups and start bothering them with questions if you need more help

nope - that’s why it’s temporary.

it’s there to measure fitment and to see if the car will move with the setup I have. If it all works I’ll pay the £300 to have a “prop”er one made

Almost scrapped the car looking at the amount of rust that was around but I think it’s repairable we will see

i scrapped a focus at the start of the year due to rust at the sills/rear wheel arch massive chunk came away in my hand a week before mot time. was no point spending days welding a £300 car. Your is something a wee bit more special though

yeah this was all around the seatbelt mount so was bound to be a mot failure.
I’m chopping and welding the back anyway so might as well go big or go home lol
