I reckon KeyGas would definitely be my first choice if I was in their delivery area. They were very helpful on the phone and their prices look v.good. Unfortunately they don't cover Oxfordshire.

For info, I just had a refill of a size Y bottle of Argoshield light from BOC at a cost of £33.30 +VAT. This is a bit less than is shown on the spreadsheet, but may be because I have other bottles?

Brilliant. Good to have more economical gas suppliers appearing - there must be a real market out there for affordable gas, and it's good to encourage competition for AP and BOC. Don't forget to include their contact info in the spreadsheet.

Where does the spreadsheet live these days? I don't know how comfortable people are about downloading excel spreadsheets from forums. If you email it over I could put it on the website.

I've just had a thought. We could use Google maps to create a searchable non-rental gas supplier map, couldn't we?

With Google maps the location of the supplier could be covered, but not the distribution area. I kept planning a list of rent free gas suppliers (did you spot the new one? At the moment it wouldn't be a hassle to scan through them on a page, but if we can encourage some more to set up then a map would be perfect.

Had a letter from air liquide yesterday, they're hoiking their prices up big-time!
New prices are:
Argon 10.5m3 - £30.66
ar/co2 (20%) mix £38.34
Monthly rental £7.10
all plus vat

Prices effective from August 2008

Delivery charge is £32.25, can't remember what the collection charge is if there is one, sorry.

Re: would BOC/AP now be cheaper? Given the nature of the price rice info it sounds like there's trouble at t' mill, AL are blaming the price rise on rising energy prices, new environmental legislation and one of the major CO2 producers ceasing production so I'd expect AP and BOC to announce rises too.

I was going to edit my post to remove the link but I can't work out how to?
