Anyone know anywhere in west yorkshire for gas? pontefract,south Elmsall

There are 2 that i know of about 5 miles way from Pontefract

Express Gas & Flow Gas these are both AP Agents.

There is 1 about 7 miles from South Elmsall

Proweld Welding Supplies

Again an AP Agent.

Just scanning through, hell, its christmas day, what else do you do?. Wondering if anyone has used the Oxford contact posted by Gasman at Elite Welding Supplies for rent free cylinders, if so, how did you get on? Would appreciate the feedback, cheers.

Middle Barton is hardly Oxford! I'm in Oxfordshire and it would be an all day job to get there and back. But I do have Air Liquide, Air Products and BOC all on my doorstep, maybe what I save on diesel could offset the high rent charges.

Those cylinders are would be a bugger to balance on your handlebars too

Elite welding may well deliver or meet you en-route anyway if you ask, certainly worth enquiring IMO.

Might be a days journey for you but it's spitting distance for me. Will definitely be in contact when everybody has got all the festive crap out of their collective systems and decided to return to normal.

Been using Coogar last week - no difference to Argoshield

A few years ago when I managed a company I did exactly the same comparison and faxed it to the boc sales office, telling them I would be canceling the contract, they sent their rep straight down and he undercut every AP price even allowing for the difference in fill pressures, he told me that they will not lose business to AP, we held about 30 cylinders of varying flavours, business worth keeping.

BOCs April 2009 prices arrived today... slightly different read to normal, instead of across the board increases they're only raping users of small/medium cylinders this time

"Demand for these sizes of cylinders has increased and to meet this demand we are having to invest additional capital to purchase new stocks. The new rates reflect the current purchase costs for these types of cylinders"
