Hi I just got a refill 9.4L bottle of argoshield light eguivalent from Adams Gas. Prices have gone up.
Refill was £24.14, delivery was £41.10 to Cambridgeshire. Prices include VAT. Adams now use TNT to deliver and ask for a business address as bottle needs to be signed for. At this price Adams are starting to get a bit expensive, what do others think? Is there a better alternative?

I've just been to energas and picked up a bottle of pure argon. I got a 5 year deal where I got 5 years rental for £135.24 which works out at about 27.04 per year. The refill was £31.15. Maybe useful to add this to the spreadsheet.
I did phone adams which is where I got gas from previously but the price has increased quite a bit, it was about £80 for the fill including delivery for a bottle with about half the gas of the energas bottle. Still a good option for those in kent who can pick up.

Sorry for any lack of updates. Lack of time, and a brain fart of a decision which means my website isn't as easy to update.
So I've uploaded the spreadsheet to Google. As far as I can see, the only thing that's broken is the highlighting of the cheapest deal for each year, which is no biggie.
For now, it's set so only I can edit it. If you want to play, PM me with your Google account email and I'll invite you in, although I'd appreciate it if you'd make a copy.

I'm reliant on people letting me know prices. The last update I've had from Energas was LeeW's in May. If you get different prices, let me know.

Hi, can you Please tell me were you get your gas from in derby, i live at hilton and currently use co2 at (pub gas) at £20 a refill would like to change to argon. Thanks for your assistance. Regards Tony S

If you live in Derby go to Energas for a quote and see what they can do for you. They are on Haslam's Lane, Alfreton road, DE22 1EB phone number 01332 364 121. They don't charge a handling fee if you pick up and their rental is favourable as well. It's about 12 miles from Hilton so not bad.

Energas also have an outlet on Hawkins Lane, Burton on Trent if that's better for you. I got my gas from BOC via the Volkszone offer - they have a depot on Raynesway in Derby, or an agent (BentleyFab) in Fauld, near Tutbury.

Sorry Mark,should have said.They are exclusive of vat.I never consider the vat on the cost of something and assume (wrongly I suppose) that everyone else is the same.

I always have to consider the VAT in my job.
The spreadsheet is designed for hobby users who won't normally be VAT registered, so the prices are VAT inclusive. I can always do the calculation, so as long as I know either way, I'm happy.
