They open for me on Firefox but seem sluggish, As these cars are for sale but were sold on they show am i to presume the sales were fake?

No surprise to me that the sales were fake. You would have to be seriously deranged to pay anything like the asking prices for those abortions. Even the raw material price was excessive in most cases, I mean £12K for a scrappy pickup? 4-5K on a good day perhaps.

I watched a couple and I thought they were ok. I like Landrovers and thought the slammed one was quite cool. Sure they could have bought a ropey one and not chopped a good but they aren't exactly rare and they do say if you doing that kind of thing to start with best one you can. Jimmy De Ville doesn't seem to be a very good buyer, he paid £1500 for Beetle just for an engine that could have probably bought here for £150-200 on that Engine Addict program.

Hello good people, I have been watching it and shouting at the TV, its trying to be gas monkey but British, what really really winds me up well 2 things, 1, they keep saying "this hasn't been done before" other then ruining a land rover I have seen it all done before and 2, the unreal sale price 
They achieved their end game IE you watching it and watching the adverts in between
It concerns me that people cannot see that these things are not real and it's just entertainment. Even with Gas Monkey I do not believe for one minute that they take a derelict car, design it, strip it rebuild it with new engine,gearbox and chassis,strip it again,paint it and rebuild in 10 days. It's all done for effect.

Emmm, but we don't watch it, and its all to obvious its fake, scripted and dross. I honestly do not know who they reckon will sit down and watch muck like it. Reading about it on another forum, they have people employed taking down all the terrible reviews, comments and downright insults, from the web.
Yet you are still here talking about it. If you don't like it don't watch it and stop moaning about it, it's not rocket science.

Yes I agree but at least gas monkey is entertainment, if you read richard Rawlings book he set up gas monkey solely for TV.
To put these kind of programs into perspective, we have some friends who are going to be on Grand Designs. They've had days during the filming where they had wear different clothes and different filters/locations used to make it look like it was 5 months earlier. Get this for madness, if at the end of the build your are short of cash they will hire furniture, pay for fruits and flowers to dress rooms. They were even told they would pay for turf to go down and would you believe they actually pull it all up afterwards, you don't even get to keep it! They even said it was very clear they were asking questions in the interviews that they knew they could manipulate for the end result. They don't get to see the program until it airs.

. But seriously, i remember when documentaries were worth watching, the original Fred Dibnah one backin the late 70's early 80's, plenty of others on things like shipbuilding, the railways, mining etc. But this goblin garage is just cartoons for adults.
