I can see them getting rid of state pensions altogether, it will be like victorian times, work til you drop, or if you cannot work you get a bed in a flophouse, like the miners in George Orwells "Road to Wigan pier".

George Orwell hit the nail right on the head eh , and what do you mean it will be like victorian times? as far as I can see its getting worse already,the wealth divide is humungous.

I think the future plan is to take every penny you earn and give you one beer token back, the government try to control money movement all the time, where is your money what do you spend it on, survey have you got this have you got that, what's your disposable income. Bah rant over

yup its basically keeping people pidgeon holed to keep everything in "control" otherwise anarchy would prevail supposedly, as for future plans? you earn x,its taxed,you buy petrol ,its taxed, even the air you breath is now being taxed through pollution control,you pay tax on everything you buy, so if you save anything or die leaving something its taxed again,work it out we are taxed to death ! its not new its life.sorry off topic ,my bad.

Watched this for first time last night. They bought an early old shape Datsun 280Z and in my opinion ruined it. Quite sad really as the 240/260/280Z are very collectable these days. Nissan had some 240Z's rebuilt for the launch of the Z car in the US.

I appreciate the Z are collectable but they aren't that rare in US and being LHD is appeal in the UK was always going to be limited. I can totally see why someone may see it as being ruined but this happens across all marks and very often(not aimed at you) the people who think they've been ruined are people who've never owned one and would never dream of restoring one so in my opinion it's better for it live on in some state than not at all.

I think they paid too much for it anyway, there's a running 1976 US import for £4750, that wouldn't even put you in empty shell territory for a similar aged Escort

The Z was available in right hand drive and it was sold in the UK. It sold very well in the States, not so well here. It was also a superb rally car making it's mark in the East African Safari, when it was the toughest on the circuit.

But seriously, i remember when documentaries were worth watching, the original Fred Dibnah one backin the late 70's early 80's, plenty of others on things like shipbuilding, the railways, mining etc. But this goblin garage is just cartoons for adults.

Just caught a couple of minutes of the lowered LR episode, (couldn't stick any more). Now, bearing in mind I'm no welder, that phrase about: "You're a grinder, not a welder", sprung to mind, looking at those shackles/brackets they'd welded onto the chassis for the coach springs.

Just watched the latest episode with the Mini. Brand new aftermarket body, new motor, new subframes, and everything else. Nice job, I like the whole retro concept, but the front end just looks wrong.....

Well I enjoy it for what it is , entertainment . The usuall Moany old farts on here you do have a choice e.g. Put your boot thru the tv or simply switch it off .

No you forgot the choice to watch all those old time documentaries on YouTube, which is what I do.

As with every car they build, it is currently SORN and not MOT’d, so......

I treat it as basic entertainment, bit like American Chopper, etc, not to be taken seriously just a bit of fun.

The idea of building a brand new Mini is interesting, but even bog standard it would need to be newly registered. Which means total BIVA and conforming to all the rules.

The only ones I really watch are FantomWorks and Sin City motors. And I record those so I can skip the adverts.
