Too many factors to really predict. But usually about two weeks after you run out, or place a big orderI reckon i have 1100litres left in a 3500l. Tank. Put 2300 in last September from empty. When do we predict prices will bottom out??
Oil has slowly trended down but my guess is it will trend about here for a while; $75 to $85 range.I reckon i have 1100litres left in a 3500l. Tank. Put 2300 in last September from empty. When do we predict prices will bottom out??
Was going to ask the same thing!@JOEPRO
What monitor do you have for your oil tank? It looks pretty accurate.
Hope he knows the outlet pipe is about 2” above the bottom of the tank……Im not a fan of running low. Interested in the tank read out too, Im a bit more traditional and use a broom shank, calibrated of course@JOEPRO

Yeah. I dipped some old pipe in and worked out the height as a proportion of the full tank to get my measurements!Hope he knows the outlet pipe is about 2” above the bottom of the tank……Im not a fan of running low. Isnt heating oil used as aeroplane fuel as well? might explain why the price never seems to fall much in summer?Winter is drawing slowly towards a close, prices likely to carry on down. What's happening to petrol prices - jumped 7p here, diesel still the same. Is this the ulez effect? People ditching diesels in London?

Thanks. Just looked that up. Looks pretty good. I think my tank has a hole for this already (red bung in there currently under the bund lid) so i might invest here for peace of mind. It's a Kingspan Sensit oil level monitor.
It works with a UBS stick which I have in a USB power socket in my kitchen.
It then relays the tank level to my app. And lots of good features. Such as auto leak detection, if it loses 20l overnight etc it will alert you to go look.
Weekly oil usage reports and the charts to track consumption trends. Great job. £140 ish for the kit depending where you buy it.
It's slightly more expensive for the small tanker which is needed for our delivery. Debatable whether 'baby' tanker is used. Depends on driver. But ....bit of downward trend...? Also postcode. We're towards the end of the peninsula. So postcode makes a difference.Boiler Juice just now (900 L, North Wales)

Note that the 74.72 / litre becomes 79.79 / litre with their service charge + VAT.
I suspect that a number of suppliers are trying to shift stock that was bought when the price was higher. For the first time in a while, my usual supplier was unable / unwilling to match Boiler Juice prices.
This is my arrangement. Non electronic (float) and clearly visible. In between pheasantThanks. Just looked that up. Looks pretty good. I think my tank has a hole for this already (red bung in there currently under the bund lid) so i might invest here for peace of mind.
