After re-levelling and cleaning, I have printed a little boat. First one didn't stick but second one did, so well that it took a little effort to remove. Next one was a little desk stand. That would not stick either.

Am I supposed to cool and clean between every print or something?

I did adjust the temperature to 210 and saved it, but once printing is underway, it goes back to 200 so have abandoned my overnight print ambitions.

Looks like you have the right amount of squish at the front. Maybe not enough at the back.

Have you checked if your bed is flat? Mine wasn't so I packed it up with aluminium tape. But the best mod was a glass bed.

I have the upgraded model with glass bed. It should therefore be flat?

I've not been overly fussy in that regard, & adhesion has been fine, upto just. I remove any remaining plastic, quick wipe over with a dry piece of cotton cloth, job done.

3DLAC.
I could never get anything to stick directly to the glass bed, but since using 3DLAC issues are pretty much eliminated.

3DLAC is pretty much hairspray, and although you might find a suitable cheaper hairspray, 3DLAC just works and with how little you actually need to use, a tin lasts a long time.

I have however just done a search for 3DLAC, and I see there's a new 3DLAC Plus, which is now in a pump bottle instead of an aerosol, but I have no idea if it's as good/better/worse. It does seem to be more available at the moment.

The temperatures are set in your slicer. Any changes you make on the printer will be overridden when the print starts. You can manually change the temperature when the print has started if you want to make slight changes

Sorry wasn't that clear from the photos.

For levelling I use a model which is lots of squares each bigger than the next, one layer high,I think Chep posted it you adjust the levelling it is printed to get it spot on.

My printer and PETG arrived today. I'm a bit concerned about the comments above about PETG, I was hoping to just connect it all up and print a couple of brake flush funnels for BMW.

It is. That's why I'm not being anal with it. I'll be damned if I'm going to have to babysit it, rather than it work round me.

On a tangent, cutting some support out the night before last, moved my finger well out of the way of blade movement, (we've all been there ), & god knows how, ended up with the blade in my fingertip. It was behind the direction of cut, ffs.

I use a probe for bed levelling but you may be able to adjust the z offset on the printer or in the slicer to make it start printing closer the print surface. I have my printer set for pla and in my slicer profiles have a different z offset for petg etc. Don’t make big changes to z offset as you don’t want the nozzle crashing into the print surface

My ship came in last night!

I found some water based craft glue and put a wipe of that on the bed. So far it seems to be helping. This is a stand for a Yaesu VX-7R that will not sit vertical.

Ender 3 V2 with 32 bit board and glass mat.

I am beginning to suspect something to do with levelling. It isn't consistent, every time I level it is well out on the next run. I wonder if there is something flopping about, or if the springs are too weak?

How much tension do you have on the springs?
Lower your z axis switch to increase the tension.

My springs are compressed quite a bit, the bed if firm.

That’s very true, it’s now doing things I don’t understand and it’s now causing much frustration

I upgraded my springs to slightly stronger ones. They are yellow if that helps.

You want them to be under plenty of compression so possibly fiddle with the Z limit switch.
