So how do you program in the temp changes or do uou do it from the tune menu?

You edit the the GCode to insert a command that does a wait for temperature change between each level of the tower.

Or if you are lucky down load an edited file for your printer from Thingiverse.

I think a better slicer software is used to change various settings including temperature based on Z height.

While trying to print parts for an RC plane I have realised that the slicer has massive impact on prints.

The Bowden tube was replaced just a few days ago and everything all cleaned out.

I'm just looking for a ready to go ABS tower. The only one I have found so far appears to need the temperatures hard coding into it.

Try this one it has 260 to 220 which is the range you mentioned.

Yes its arrived... made a couple of stanley blade scraper handles...

Warping and layer separation. I tried going up to 245C with no improvement. The last one that I printed in black was more than acceptable, yet the green one which is the same eSUN branded ABS, is just horrible.
I applied more 3DLAC on a fresh part of the bed and tried again, but the adhesion of the first layer was appalling and so I aborted it. It was carefully levelled and I did a levelling run with the BLTouch at working temperature.

I think it knows that I need to get this gearbox installed urgently!

Forget 3Dlac with ABS . Slurry all the way on glass.

I am pleased to report that the PETg version printed well and it all fits together as intended. Here are some installed pictures...




I think that a finishing touch would be some matching P clips, so I may run some up tonight. I have some in stock but the bore is too big and the mounting hole too small for the job.

Yes, they are fully sealed. What is more irritating though is that apparently it will not do the job! With this design, the overdrive drops out in neutral, which is undesirable. So it's back to the drawing board.

I have just realised that I have oriented them wrongly on the bed. I doubt that the 10mm slot will bridge well horizontally.
