Fortunately your guesss are wrong. I've agreed a price for someone to paint it and finish assemble it for me. The only thing with it is, because he's taking it to Manchester. I saw no point in the panels being brought back down. They'd only get damaged. I also thought well, the interior is coming from this same guy. How long does it take to bolt in some seats...
I know for some it's not good but my concern with it is. If I assemble it and damage something I'd cry. Not only that, I don't have enough trust in painters I don't know to do a whole car. I've seen the guys cars and they're incredible! Literally breathtaking, I know it's in good hands.

When he takes it, he said it'd be about 6-8weeks.
I'll pick it up and hopefully drive it home with no issues (I hope), I'm a bit anxious about a maiden voyage that's 4h long. I've asked him to do a full check over though just to make sure it's all okay.

Even if you don't, I have confidence that your rebuilt vehicle (after your thousands of hours of careful work) will have no big issues on its maiden voyage. So stop worrying. Ok, it's a LR and in that doesn't mean it'll be reliable compared to other marques, but I'm sure you're work'll be fine.
Any idea yet on when he'll take it?

Watching Silent Witness this week the main suspect drove a Landrover, they managed to pin him to a crime scene as there was a patch of oil under his Landrover and also at the scene of the crime.
The script writer obviously has experience of Landrovers!

Oh grief, misery! What with poor Langy laid up in bed and KimB's Landrover in the finishing shop, there's only the Bedford TK and W.olly's boat to look forward to. And there's nowt on the goggle box!!

Feeling the pressure now! Who'd have thought I'd be rubbing shoulders with Langy, KimB and the boat guy on my lowly project. Better get on and do something to it I suppose - it's waiting for various bits to turn up at the moment.

id like to get an old Russian truck, maybe a kraz or a Ural truck,
anyone can get a new Ural truck from Russia for $50,000 and that's
a 4x4 version ^pictured above^, the stuff they can go through amazes me all the time, there is vids of these Russian truck driving along in a creek doing logging as its a better road, they are real good steel that hardly will rust only more or less the odd bit of corrosion and what makes it even more desirable is that the whole truck is designed for the owner to do all work and none of this warranty rubbish.
