I have put a 3/4 HP motor on the Drummond, it can just about cope with power feed and a .75mm cut (1.5mm off diameter ) without slowing much Sometimes I wish I had gone for a bit more power but not when I do some thing stupid and crash it.
I think my 1.5 hp motor probably a bit muchYep I have found that the clown that claimed mine had a new motor fitted only fitted .25 kw and on high speed cutting it drops out due to overload so I will go on the upgrade list
Hopefully should be ok ZX9. 10mm plate. 10.9 rated fixings. Did everything I could to make it strong.Nice, it's out of the way under there, I can't see the extra size being a problem.

I will run them a bit loose. Will sus it out when I get it running .Maybe not it depend if you try pushing it or not as long as the belts are not to tight they will slip first better over than under
They are ratchet type. Very nice to use. That's a very fancy tap wrench holder set. Nice.
Thanks slim. Always try and do the best I can. That IS impressive work!
I was wondering about them how easy is it to switch direction when you want to turn the tap back every now and then as you progress through the job. They are ratchet type. Very nice to use.
I find them nice to use once you get the thread started. I normally do a couple of turns in then back off a turn . The ratchet is good and the switch is good.I was wondering about them how easy is it to switch direction when you want to turn the tap back every now and then as you progress through the job.
Yes it is standard .for some reason I had it as 8.4. Reading off the wrong chart probably .I have folders full of charts. For a few bolts slapped in a plate you wouldn’t have any issues tapping an m12 x1.75 in a 10.5mm hole. It’s not “right” but it’s not gonna hurt for bog standard low force mounting. As said above m10 x1.5 is 8.5mm. Quite standard in most drill boxes. Same as m6 is another standard size. (5mm.)
