If you were a big business, you could carry stock, paying for it, by not paying the little guys for at least 90 days, possibly even 180!I like the trendy term for too broke for stock

No stock is guaranteed sold and finished components or things like castings have no other value except scrap if the job fails . Even raw material only has value if you find a job for ityep stock on the shelf is dead money
Depends on your payment terms... Work for a v big outfit and I'm embarrassed by our recent payment changes which some brightsparkyep stock on the shelf is dead money
calculated would save and create millions more p/a , 90 days plus some other incalculable delay depending on when a sparrow farts, and then we get paid by our customers in half that!It's not as if the company doesn't make a fortune already - greedy & nasty to smaller outfits that I tend to deal with.

Cut 18” screws . Had raspberry moment and cut right hand thread 
. Didn’t cut acme as I wanted to keep diameter down and have fairly fine pitch

Because I couldn’t resist a spin of the top wheel…
It was deliciously smooth.
But… small kids stopped play. Just finished now for a biccy and post this. More will be revealed tomorrow. I can guarantee you that it will be worth the wait. Speaking of which, this substantial box was actually quite hard to move single-handedly. Definitely a two-person lift for comfort.
