This evening I finished the two lead screw brackets.
And started the primer on the ridiculous weight pulley support bracket

Primer done. That can cook in there for tonight. Top coat tomorrow. This will be the last part to painted in here. The rest will be done in the main shed.

Today I started stripping down the headstock. Was ok until it decided to absolutely slash it down....ck sucking weather.....anyway onwards. Got as far as I got. And only just lifted some of it.

I get what you mean. I have to do it so I dont run out of things to do. I was outside in the rain taking these parts out. Luckily underneath the cover. Headstock spindle next.

Headstock is now stripped. It almost broke me lifting that spindle out..faffn hell has that got some weight. The gear cluster is awesome.

Caustic soda brad. 50 percent caustic. You dont need a lot to take paint off.

Old paint removed. Cleaned. Polished. and sorted ready for paint.

That's one of casing parts. All day I have been on that. Ready for primer.

Lol. The empire was an ok build. But the Harrison is a fantastic machine to do and I am really enjoying working on it. Downside is the parts are so heavy. I dont have a massive amount to do. The bed and stands. The headstock case. The gear clusters ain't to bad.
