As some silly **** had an accident this afternoon resulting in a rather nasty cut finger. I cant do a lot again !!!) Except paint. So painting the apron internals

Thats what you get with filing all them edges up sharp! You should see what I did to my leg with a 9" anglegrinder and a wire cup brush! The things I do to get free B&B from the NHS. Still loving this rebuild!

Lol. I actually file the sharp edges down a fraction. I use a lot of wire wool grades. This particular roll is extra coarse. I always have my gloves on. But this morning I thought I'd be ok and couldn't be bothered to get them. Went to pull a lump off and as you would expect it opened my finger up . My own stupid fault and should of known better.

You know things are getting out of hand size wise when you have to dig a pit so you can fit the thing in for paint removal...

Not nice. Done it myself, you can feel it cutting through your finger before you can stop

Absolutely awful stuff.
But it's good gear and does what its supposed to do. Just must remember to put gloves on.

Saddle done. Nice and clean from paint. Grease. Not to bad condition. The flat ways look worse than they are. A few tram lines but nothing I didn't expect.

Decided to have a little sort outside and move the Harrison motor. Took the pulley off and gave it a good oil up before covering back up. Made a start inside the shed as its being taken over by chucks. Faceplates. Steadies and gears.

Today I decided to have a sort out. Put up a temporary table. More work to do on that. But gave me more space to sort through the heap of stuff I got. I also needed to get to the Harrison change gears. I thought I'd done a reasonable amount of gears but still have this lot to go.

A not a particular nice repair to do but must be done. The carriage lock on the saddle has a couple of nasty cracks. Not a massive amount of material where the thread is. My plan is to clamp. V out the cracks and weld.
