Norm, your absolutly right I've mowed this lawn more times than I can remember and always take great care in this area, but it still happened...Sorry, hope it heals up ok, but it made me laugh on the basis that it must be a fair sized lawn to justify the ride on mower and you have to hit and get caught up in the only tree on it! sod's law.

Tha fact that I was on a lawnmower is an aside really, the main thing is to always watch bruises as they can turn nasty.
That is so sad, KF. I believe thats why I went into the Vascular ward and have spent most of my time since the accident with my leg 6" above my hip to increase circulation in my leg and also to reduce the swelling.Quite, lovely girl from my growing up era. Fell over and bruised her hip. Went nasty as in cancerous, was treated OK, seemed fine until a type of blood poisening killed her in two days.
As I understand, the crush effect caused circulation problems? And then the nasty tissue failure?

It does smart! lots of pain killers, blister skin cut off and whole lot wrapped up. It's best to take your own bag of frozen peas as the hospitals these days use a rubbish gel wrapping that's no good at taking the burn out
