its because you jack the sheets into the air it becomes cold on both sides of the metal

therefore dosnt melt the snow off in winter

its below where the insulation is important normal house insulation is on your ceiling this makes the loft area cold
but with central heating pipes run in the loft areas this makes the loft area warm in end it can rot your wood beams out

this is why tin roofs drip like a pig when heat hits it

warm roof method is your illustrated one but the metal roof is the cold roof type

so in reality I dont need to use the polystyrene ontop of the roof osb or ply sheets just batton and insulate between the rafters

its advisable to install rafters

fit osb board to the rafters, fit membrane to the board, then using the laths and then the, 3x1 boards, then fasten your metal roof to the 3x1 boards

the osb stops the membrane sagging in between the rafters thats all its for really as old tar felt and new plastic felt felt drooped between the rafters as there was no support between them

then insulate between the rafters you can add extra 2" insulation below your rafters if you want to do

its easier to install insulation before you fit the board down onto the rafters that it is to do it afterwards but you need netting or you fit your osb boards on the inside quickly

yes I was thinking to fit the ceiling first the drop the insulation in from the top, I Have the kingspan rolls already. is it a diffeent membrane for the roof to walls?

So just so I get this correct the plan is to fix the ceiling inside first osb or ply, then drop the roll of insultion in from above kingspan between the rafters, then ply or osb ontop of the rafters. Then do I use a membrane ontop of the ply or osb? Then 50mm polystyrene sheets that I have to use up, keep these in place with the 25x25 or 25x30 roofing battons, then cross these batterns with the perlins 100x20. Then the tin sheets on top of this. Does that sound right have I missed anything

Yep i sure did just spoke to the Mrs there us 6t on the driveway and 60 bags of cement and the 2nd driver broke the man hole cover sorry inspection cover.

Cool. Is it okay to do a certain amount then come back next day and simply add more, does it adhere to the first area okay?

No it has to be mixed and poured as a whole slab I have a pal coming to help

build frame up board the inside
install insulation into the frame board outside
fit breathable felt over board outside
fit laths on rafters over felt
fit the roof

what actually happens due to weather possible rain on way or heavy rain expected

is build frame up
board outside and felt to make waterproof
fit roof sheets on top
then insulate inside and board over whilst getting coated with insulation dust

i reckon all day using a chute and 2 mixers with 3 of you one having a mixed rest from time to time collecting more water/ brews

the other 2 are going to be shoveling the aggregate into the cement mixer other person can get cement ready to pour into the cement mixer

tip mixers into a chute

you can string net the inside if you want to lay the insulation on it for speed

ok I am using the box section metal roof. The plan was board the ceiling then soft insulation roll between the rafters from the top, then the osb or ply on top the outside, then membrane, then 50mm polystrene sheets then the battons then the tin box sections.

no chute here! he wants to mix it in the hole and move the mixer about, I only have the one mixer too
