Don't forget planning permission and building control are totally different.... essentially the former is 'can you' the latter is 'how to'.

There are minimums recomended for different roofing materials, with slate for example the lower the pitch, the greater the overlap you need, therefore more weight, onduline has minimums too. Also if using trusses the closer to flat you get the truss design increases. Is there a angle of pitch that is preferred for a dual pitch roof?
Just don't go flat. It will leak! maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but one day, it will leakso pitched roof or just a sloping roof? are there pros and cons for either?
Ok, so if you assume 3.6m for your width then at 2.1 at the eaves and a 1 in 4 slope you'll be looking at pretty close to 2.5 at the pitch.Reading up if the shed is 2.5M hight or less I can have it 1m from the boundary if it is higher than 2.5m then it needs to be 2m from the boundary. So 2.5M high it will have to be
Where would be the place to order the timber for this sort of construction? And what type? 2x4 for the framing, just plain untreated softwood? Would you need a big frame nailing gun, or screw it together?
I have ordered a 8x 10 wood shed, from a local company, just for storage, as I have so much stuff I need to simply get out of my single car garage before I can even think about doing anything else. It arrives Thursday, coincidentally my 60th birthday. That’s costing me a grand, delivered and assembled.
I need a workshop eventually though as the single car garage will be for storing the hot rod, and I have only walking access to the back yard at present.

i use these for my decking and fencing jobs.
There may be cheaper I am not sure.
I always screw everything together but I would like to purchase a nail gun any excuse! a first fix would be good for me.
As for the timbers I have not had a look yet. 2x2 may be fine for the frame

I built mine from free 2 mtr x 3 mtr pallets, available from most plastic sheet wholesalers and maybe sign makers, they are around 4-5" wide, I used tannalised fence post material around the base and top and as uprights between pallets, slipped 75mm rockwool down the gap, broke some pallets up for extra timber as one side tends to have far fewer slats, I bought trusses from ebay, left over, built to wrong dimensions or design changes, paid very little, broke some up for extra construction timber, used site hording shuttering ply to line the inside or sterling board when I had to buy new, feather edge on the outside, had to buy that new!
you will not regret buying a Paslode lm350 as a cheap first fix gun, 50mm to 90mm mails, the pallets saved money but also made initial construction very quick and that helped keep the project going through the winter of 2017-2018, I had a massive time deadline as my workshop building had been sold and I needed to get all my toys home double quick or throw them away!!!!!! was also very short of cash until completion, a double edged sword, original prefab shed (modified) to the right, dormers open up for easy access to roof space storage,
