A long time ago, in a country far far away, I once owned a Austin Healey replica, and a local built stainless steel bodied
Jeepney. In an attempt to get the Healey road legal I decided to graft the Healey body onto the Jeepney chassis. It wasn't pretty......

Plans changed, I dropped a 327 Chevy V8 in, instead of the poxy diesel, and planned to go racing.

I never did get it finished, as with many other things it all went down the toilet in our divorce.

Only Lav I’ve ridden was when a mate bought an SFC,so well built,but of course heavy,I’ve never ridden such a rigid bike,it never went off the chosen line,I just missed the sound of a 360 crank.

i believe so last time i was at the factory was in the 90s great pizza restaurant in the car/wagon park stuck there over the week end waiting for 4 tractors to the uk

Ferruccio Lamborghini (Italian pronunciation: [ferˈruttʃo lamborˈgiːni]; 28 April 1916 – 20 February 1993) was an Italian industrialist. In 1963, he created Automobili Lamborghini, a maker of high-end sports cars in Sant'Agata Bolognese.

Born to grape farmers in Renazzo, from the comune of Cento in the Emilia-Romagna region, his mechanical know-how led him to enter the business of tractor manufacturing in 1948, when he founded Lamborghini Trattori, which quickly became an important manufacturer of agricultural equipment in the midst of Italy's post-WWII economic boom. In 1959, he opened an oil burner factory, Lamborghini Bruciatori, which later entered the business of producing air conditioning equipment.

Lamborghini founded a fourth company, Lamborghini Oleodinamica in 1969 after creating Automobili Lamborghini in 1963. Lamborghini sold off many of his interests by the late 1970s and retired to an estate in Umbria, where he pursued winemaking.

Many years ago, when I was not long out of short trousers, a friend & I had the job of rebuilding a David Brown diesel tractor engine. When the big end bearings turned up, on the box it showed what they fitted

Didn’t Lamborghini have problems with a Ferrari, or Ferrari refused to sell him one, so Lamborghini said “I’ll build A better one myself” or something like that. I know Enzo Ferrari was reputed to vet customers & if he didn’t like you, he wouldn’t sell you one.

A couple of mates are into their Bedford trucks.

This J type was found in the Auzzie outback, the sun had completely stripped all the paint off. It was completely rust free so he shipped it back, had it blasted and painted.

A BSA one of the lads that worked here restored, was passed down from his father so has been in the family a very long time

An old Riley ( I think) when I was at the trailer spares shop

And another old Bedford truck, this belongs to one of the lads that works here.

Bedford TJ,loads of PO telephones ones in yellow iirc,lad worked for me lived in his ,had a wood burner aswell,plus a 3 legged dog that could catch rabbits.

They were all fitted with a huge petrol engine. I understood they were left over from some overseas contract & stored until the Post office telephones took them on. They went remarkably well, drank petrol like it was going out of fashion, but nice & quiet being petrol.

A family friend was restoring an early Aston Martin car, I recall meeting him at an autojumble where he was delighted to have bought a set of DB tractor parts that he said were identical to those for his car: drum brake cylinder's from memory.
