I'd have to sort out plug lead number 2
A long time ago, in a country far far away, I once owned a Austin Healey replica, and a local built stainless steel bodied
Jeepney. In an attempt to get the Healey road legal I decided to graft the Healey body onto the Jeepney chassis. It wasn't pretty......
Plans changed, I dropped a 327 Chevy V8 in, instead of the poxy diesel, and planned to go racing.
I never did get it finished, as with many other things it all went down the toilet in our divorce.

or Ferrari refused to sell him one, so Lamborghini said “I’ll build A better one myself” or something like that.
An old Riley ( I think) when I was at the trailer spares shop

Didn’t Lamborghini have problems with a Ferrari, or Ferrari refused to sell him one, so Lamborghini said “I’ll build A better one myself” or something like that. I know Enzo Ferrari was reputed to vet customers & if he didn’t like you, he wouldn’t sell you one.
Yep.

I'd rather have a Miura than any over-rated tat from Enzo's place anyway.
Mind you, I'm not surprised some of these wans got the bum's rush. I'd not let them buy something I made.

Some very lovely vehicles pictured so far. Some very expensive ones too!
Just to bring this thread back to somewhere in the reach of the average owner here’s my offerings. Although they are rare, they are part of a production run that was very common as you’ll see.
first is a car that was my daily, one of only 21 others produced in the colour.

Rover 75 connoisseur se. Unfortunately it is likely a washing machine now after no-one wanted it (it was very tired and needed many times it’s valve spending on it to bring it back up to a good standard) it may have been valuable in years to come, but worth much more in parts currently. If I had space I’d have kept it...

Next on the list is another limited production run, only 1500 models produced and one of only 150 examples still remaining (many sornd including mine but mine still gets used)
Designed to replace the iconic 200 vi and brm, it was knocked on the head because it was seen as too competitive alongside the zr 160.

Rover 25 gti (yes I like rovers...) another car that needs work but all the damage is self inflicted. Getting on a bit now, not very often you see cars on prefix registrations now. Unfortunately this car will never be worth much, but it was only £300.
I’ve also got a Nissan terrano, among others, and how many of those do you see kicking about???
What a great thread.
I'll add a sample of the wierd and wonderful I've had/used over the years.

When you get room let me know, I will sell you the one I have
F knows what it is I actually have, I bought it to get me by for a few weeks whilst the Passat was in getting a gearbox fitted. Looks similar to your pic but is newer (04) and is a diesel.I’ve got enough as it is! With a trailer, a diesel rover 75 and a mg zs 180 also wanting some tlc I’ve got plenty to keep me busy!!! Along with the others mentioned. I do however always room if the price is right, just bear in mind my budget is £300, I’ve had 5 in the last couple of years and always spent up to that
Gotta love cheap British motoring
