I loved the Jeepney concept when I stopped off there on my way to OZ on my 'round the world' trip. Just flag one down, say where you wanted to go, and everyone on the opposing benches in the back just bunched up a bit to make room for you. Iirc [it was a long time ago now
] somehow the drivers usually remembered where you wanted to go and told you it was your stop. Try that here......

Tucker SnoCat and an International Harvester TD8B were two of the machines in my care in 1990.
This is a SkiDoo that had to have an improvised repair after it hit one of the base legs.
Me and my dad enjoying the carefree pre-H&S days of the early 1970s.

Just to bring this thread back to somewhere in the reach of the average owner here’s my offerings. Although they are rare, they are part of a production run that was very common as you’ll see.
first is a car that was my daily, one of only 21 others produced in the colour.
Rover 75 connoisseur se. Unfortunately it is likely a washing machine now after no-one wanted it (it was very tired and needed many times it’s valve spending on it to bring it back up to a good standard) it may have been valuable in years to come, but worth much more in parts currently. If I had space I’d have kept it...
Next on the list is another limited production run, only 1500 models produced and one of only 150 examples still remaining (many sornd including mine but mine still gets used)
Designed to replace the iconic 200 vi and brm, it was knocked on the head because it was seen as too competitive alongside the zr 160.
Rover 25 gti (yes I like rovers...) another car that needs work but all the damage is self inflicted. Getting on a bit now, not very often you see cars on prefix registrations now. Unfortunately this car will never be worth much, but it was only £300.
I’ve also got a Nissan terrano, among others, and how many of those do you see kicking about???

the chap next to our unit has a mint black 3dr I will get a picture as it’s absolutely spotless
as for the rovers I’m only in to the land version of them so like you a gluten for punishment
I will say they do have good chassis on the 25

I’ve got enough as it is! With a trailer, a diesel rover 75 and a mg zs 180 also wanting some tlc I’ve got plenty to keep me busy!!! Along with the others mentioned. I do however always room if the have price is right, just bear in mind my budget is £300, I’ve had 5 75/zt’s in the last couple of years and always spent up to that

F knows what it is I actually have, I bought it to get me by for a few weeks whilst the Passat was in getting a gearbox fitted. Gotta love cheap British motoring
the L-series diesels in those are actually good little units. They map up quite well too, very popular a few years ago, chuck some earlier injectors in, fit a decent intercooler and a map and they’re good for 160 horses which makes them quite nippy but very torquey

BMW engine supposedly, whether that is an L or not I have no idea. It did me a few weeks and has been sitting since Feb.
Still in MOT (just) but wasn't actually too bad a car to drive.
Might have still been using it if it didn't drag its back end with the welder and gas cylinder loaded
