Well I broke the gearbox in 15 minutes....
reno 16 looks like import as left hand drive a quick car in it's day
I can heartily recommend it for being right up there for fun - reverse as fast as you can till you hit your target, time after time - reverse, smash, forward, as hard and fast as you can until it dies, time after time.Hardly surprising given you were in a demolition derby...
I remember driving one once (must have belonged to a friend as I never owned one) and it was a comfy ride.

Came out in 64 or 65 ISTR. Like a spaceship compared to contemporary British stuff.
Very reliable too as I recall.
All's fair in love and demilishion derby...Are we still talking about demolition derby?... I bet you're popular!
Thought so, those wheels were only on that model.I didn't spot that as I was pushing on to try to avoid the teatime traffic, but the badge was '16 TX' on the rear.
I think my Dad's was a TL. I wish I still had it!Coincidences!
Out this AM to sort the tax office and it was tipping it down. Coming the other way was a line of 'collection' cars, all very smart, among were four or so R16s...
I drove a friend's back in the day, a TS model. Quite quick and very comfy.
