Replacing Rusty Bits

Got some primer on the lower rear quarters and rear Valence but there some old paint defects so am painting all of the rear quarters below the trim.

Painting done but I touched the gravitex on the spare wheel wells with my leg so will need to touch them up. Rust proofing next and then flatting and polishing.

Old wheels painted, new tyres and underside rust proofed. Back on the road next week.

The 142 is alive again. Dry and wet vacuumed the seats, this is what 50years of crud looks like.

All back together, gave her a clean, clay bar and quick hand polish. Still more to do but she is ready for our drive tomorrow.

I remember seeing a 145 Estate and an Amazon as a kid in the early 70’s with Wolfrace wheels and they looked really cool.

Not 100% sure, German couple recently bought it and think they are just doing B&B and a gallery. But maybe the pub and restaurant will be open as well but don’t think that is the case which is a shame.

Thanks, have done quite a few miles in her lately but also more work. I’ll need to do an update, it’s grease related work rather than rust so makes a nice change. :-)
