The chain slots still got the timber runners down them.
Apparently the recoil was over 1/2 a meter.

Looks like a neat place.
This down the road on the back of a trailer.
I have made up plenty of those belts when i was young for machinery, I think i still have some of the hammer on belt joiners in the garage.
