8 hours of scraping later. Still a fair bit of residue on the right hand end but it does come off with the DA. Fishing tomorrow and headache on Friday morning so may get back to it Friday afternoon.

Would there of been some kind of fitted cupboards/furniture where the red sections of concrete are. Seems odd not to tile to the edges

There possibly would have been plants in built up containers on the concrete area.
See the wee drainage groove visible in some of the photos.
Having a Fernery in your porch was a fashion back then.

Could you colour match some podge and fill the holes, that would be my thoughts, then gently sand back ?

Thats what I would try.

The holes seem to be in the red and yellow bits. So wonder if you could use dust from sanding those areas specifically for this?

Also worth a try.

I know yiu can get cement dyes and i think there are only two colours needed here so wouldnt be too bad price wise?

Tiles sanded, but still to scrape the wall footings and fill the cracks in the concrete.

Sanding dust saved, a mix of all the colours and 120 years of dirt.

Mixed up a bit of dust 3:1 with cement. I'll let it dry overnight before filling any more.

Got all of the holes and cracks filled today, I'll leave it a couple of days and do a final sanding and clean up.

The next thing on my mind is fabricating a new front door. This one is drooping and rotten.... and big, 2120x1040mm.
