So no one is interested in even looking at my front door, let alone quoting me for a repair. I'm going to push ahead and make one out of a solic core door blank. Probably this one. The blurb says it can be cut to any side as it has a solid core and is a chunky 43kg.
It'll be worth checking what the core is made of before you buy one, depending on what your planning to do with it.
All our doors are oak faced solid core, and although there's about an 1" of oak around the outside so you can trim them down and the faces are oak, the middle is chipboard.
Not a problem if your just trimming to size but if your planning on cutting into the middle you'll probably be into chipboard or similar.

It says above it's a solid albacia core and no limitations for cutting.

Yes the blank can be cut down to any size the core is made up of many hardwood blocks as can be seen but but be careful as you will want to expose a lot of the internal stuff to router out the fake panels be prepared for a lot of sanding / filling and a very good quality edge sealer for every where you remove the ply and your finish is going to depend a lot on the quality of the block core which can be dubious at times , yes I've cut a few at times but only exposing edges or routing apertures for glazing panels for but the theory is there . check on line suppliers for more prices that seems a bit heavy but it's been quite some time since I bought one

I put a quality door blank like that on my SILs garage. I cut it to fit, fitted lippings, etc. I then painted it with 3 coats of Sadolin. It split, bubbled and failed the first winter. I don't think it was the Sadolin and I wouldn't use one of those door blanks outside again.
From your posts about your house , you seem to be able to do most things to a great standard. I would seriously recommend you have timber machined up, then obtain a router and cutters and make a new door yourself, its not hard.

There are lots of joinery shops who will make you a new door….wont be cheap but will fit. If you have an account at any of the builders merchants they will be able to get it done for you.
