...I too read the 32 pages of this thread, took the plunge and bought one from welders.de last night, 9 days shipping so I won’t hold my breath just yet.

Great thread, and reassuring to read the comments and finding from experienced welders!

You sure, just looked up sherman europe on my phone and still the same shopify page. Maybe your phone is still the cached site?

Yeah just searched for weldes.de on samsung internet and it worked. On my works computer it comes up as not allowed in this country

Ah ok thought you were meaning the Sherman Europe website, that is the one that is no longer.
The wedes.de works fine on my PC so looks like it may be your works computer is limiting sites you can visit.

I tried and couldn't get it to work.
A torch with a pot on it would work I think but not actually tried.

New email from UPS (despite my requesting DPD): parcel scheduled for delivery tomorrow.

Weldes.de are cancelling orders now, saying there is no stock and none returning. They've gone from ebay too.

Yep that was expected I think....Jasic not happy with them I reckon. Glad I filled my boots when I got the chance...should have done a bulk buy .

I'm sure there will be other sellers...or it'll get relisted at twice the price.

Still a couple sellers on eBay I can see?...bit more expensive but maybe last chance to get it.

I reckon Sherman was meant to sell into Poland only perhaps. But I guess it confirms our theory that it's the same welder....otherwise they wouldn't care

I suggest if anyone finds it for sale don't post it here as they're probably checking posts!

I'd been wondering about the cheap MIGs too. Would like to try an inverter MIG. It might be that I'm ok at it and just had a bad machine before

What I did notice is that there's a lot of very similar looking welding machines with different badges on. Brand Engineering or what. Even between the polish brands.

I'm not sure what to make to the drying up of 206 ACDC supply. I'm not entirely convinced it's as planned as we might think. That Sherman website, before it went down, indicated the 216 was the new one. I'm not sure if it's simply that the Sherman "brand" moved on to a different tiny Tig (see video link below too from TecWeld)?

On that note, it'd be interesting to see if anyone wants to take the plunge on this one

They do an auto mig too ...I looked at the manual for it but decided wasn't as easy to use as my Kemppi....and the manual was hard to read!

But for the price worth a look maybe?

Would be funny if that 216 machine appears in orange in the UK

I was tempted to ask Jim for some internal pics of a Tetrix then do a wee bit of photoshopping and put it in Sherman clothes. You may have been so annoyed that the Sherman is a Tetrix that you would sell me the Tetrix for £25 posted
