They should have stuck with the warranty argument...that was more than enough.

Trying to say the bits are different when they look identical is just a bit silly.

At component level they'll be mass produced...if they look identical the bloomin factory workers would muddle them up surely!

Still loving the Sherman on DC, this was some 16mm end plates welded into some some 8" NB Sch 10 pipe. So it is as nice on thicker stuff as it is the thin.

did you manage to get the cooling fan running? was using it to arc weld my trailer at the weekend, fan only came on when some rare Scottish sun hit the machine moved it a foot to the left into some shade and it was happier. I quite like the fan on demand feature

Mine did the same. Gave me a bit of a surprise as i'd actually finished welding at the time.

Mine comes on every now and then even when I was just welding the 1.5mm stainless the last day. Then again I am welding small weld after small weld for hours on end.
On this one today I would say the fan came on maybe twice per end and each end had at least two 2.4mm rods.
The fan doesn't come on for long, maybe 10-20 seconds then goes off again and yes it is a nice thing to have especially when compared to the jet engine fan from the Stealth

Wiped over with disinfectant wipes, and box disposed of.


Uk plug ordered. For some reason, (maybe because i've broken a fair few caravans) i only have wall mounted commando plugs in the shed.
In the meantime, i'm going to swap one from the GYS168 and have a play.

It would have been in the box for months, so I wouldn't be worried about anything contaminating it.

Looks like Allweld.pl is sold out now too. Managed to pick up a great deal on there with one of the welding sets they were offering and it's on it's way for delivery by Monday. Oddly that one has disappeared so maybe the pricing was wrong, but it worked out a lot cheaper than anything I've seen on this thread so far.

Seems that most of the places posted on here have now sold out of them...or stopped shipping to the UK. I'd suggest doing a google search for a supplier (if you find one don't post them on here). I think ebay had a few listed but last time I checked was a week ago.

You never know, they may have got over excited at the speed they were going out the door and the amount of orders they had to cancel that they ordered 10x their normal. If that is the case then possibly next year they will be left with most so will be heavily discounting

The listing I was watching on E-bay has now has the picture changed from the blue Sherman to a yellow Magnum Profi. It still looks exactly the same as the Jasic though.

It even has the QC gas connector that the Jasics have, the Shermans only had a M10 thread. Think someone needs to buy it and see if it is the same inside
