Sherman Tig (Jasic in disguise?)

If it's your main welder then no chance as Hood and Ruffian I know of have others if the Sherman goes bang so they can take the risk

I will be selling my (hoods old) parweld 202 on and sticking with the jasic and sherman as even with the jasic warranty I can cross reference the boards etc if one did have an issue.

If it was my only welder then yes I probably would do the same and go for a uk supplied welder with a decent warranty just for the peace of mind.

On DC I can't believe the difference between the Sherman (Jasic) and other welders I have used, it is just so smooth and accurate on the arc. I have not done any AC with it apart from the initial tests, they showed it was every bit as good as others I have used, maybe even slightly better but no where near the difference that DC is.

If it went up in smoke I would certainly be looking for another welder that was as nice on DC, whether that would be from one of the big guys (EWM/Lorch...) or a real Jasic or even the XTT212 or even another Sherman if they again become available, I am not sure but this has made DC on stainless a pleasure for me so it would need to be replaced

Hello from a new member thought I'd join as I've just bought one of those sherman/jasic tig welders hopefully this doesn't bite us all in the ass. Got it from the polish ebay seller welds_de just couldn't bare to spend over a grand on a English branded one seems they've got them back in stock for anyone interested

Is it definitely the 206P you got as it still shows out of stock on the website.

We had a Jasic 200p mini in our shop for a few months as a courtesy machine while one of our guys Lincoln 220tpx was being repaired, and yes it was a very nice machine to use, no complaints, but the guy said he thought the Lincoln arc was smoother, when he finally got it back. A lot of things may be down to personal preference and probably even technique. I have heard most mention the Jasic was lovely in AC and way ahead of others but I found it nice and at least on par but definitely not, so far anyway, way ahead of everything else I have used.
DC however is just something else , it is for me, just beautiful but as said that could well be down to personal preference/technique.

ah I've just bought the 216p have I screwed up somewhere they look identical and the one called 200p I found is a dc only model I though this thread was about the ac/dc model

ffs there I was thinking I was being clever ordering from there polish page and its the wrong welder. has anyone had any experience with this version? is it a lower quality? should I cancel and weight for the 206p

the annoying thing is I've had one of the 206's in my watch list for weeks and now there all gone . well looks like im taking the plunge on this one I'm not afraid to get the screwdriver out and have a look when it shows up hopefully built to a similar quality as your jasic in disguise

I went to take the cover off the Sherman to check it over before I switch it on as I do with all new welders. Any body else have hassle trying to get the two screws on either end of the black casings off? They are stuck solid , rounded one of the screws already.
