No idea, the whole thing about this thread is that the 206 was basically a Jasic in blue clothes and without the warranty. The Jasic was known to be a nice welder so it made sense to grab a cheap one in blue. The rest of the Sherman offerings just seem to be generic Chinese machines so I suppose you would just have to take a punt and see.

The new Parweld 212 seems to be a nice machine according to @Bbe555 but it is a minimum of 50% more costly it would seem.
It'll get cancelled after you place the order. I checked today, they're not able to fulfil the order for any 206P

Well, had a quick look on eBay and they’re apparently in stock so, I’ve given that a go and at much increased price, but if it’s a blue Jasic... might need some advice on picking up a pedal (I had ordered the in-stock wrong pedal and right connector from elsewhere, so the right connector is still coming)
I’ll now retire for the evening and bathe my @rse because it’s stinging a bit.

Ok, so eBay order refunded (seller welded.de), I asked if they’re re-stocking and got the response “yes in about 1/2 months but which i can se some other sellers on ebay still have them” ...the others showing stock on eBay are £580...???...

It's not as sinister as that - I had a chat with the salesperson they simply had unprecedented numbers of orders and they don't keep that level of stock. They will be back in stock, but the lead times as longer than normal

Not that you're bearing a grudgeI will answer that.... NO mate as ours have really really special electronics in so much so every component looks the same but errrmm errmmmm they eeerrmmm are different in fact 900 pound different so there
Joking aside, Jasic's response is what puzzles me. Taking that line suggests dishonesty - or at the very least, bluster - and I think Jasic would have had a much better case in talking up their genuine value-added rather than just brand engineering:
-yes; it's essentially the same machine barring some tweaks, but we stand by the tweaks
-we've a local dealer network
-we've a much better support network (i.e. you can speak to knowledgeable engineers directly about our product), and staff are more expensive here
-our warranty is longer
-we've been around for a little bit, so there's a little more warranty trust there
You can then make your own choice as to whether those factors are worth the extra cash, but at least they've been honest. Why take the "it looks the same but is special" approach? Surely they understand the typical user-base could see through that?
(EDIT: which actually is pretty similar to what Matt is saying on the other buying thread - sorry, that wasn't plagiarism - we just genuinely thought the same!!)
