Personally I think they suit the blue better. I’ve got a big Woden which is a teal green, another nice colour but blue just says ‘vice’ to my mind.

Conversely, I've never been overly fond of blue. I'd generally choose any colour but.

I have used blue recently, for the simple reason it was what I had to hand and I had enough of it.

The Record and Pakenson vices were done is Red, for 2 reasons.
The Parkenson was Ex GPO(WD) and I had a chance to get the paint cheep. Plus it was it's history.
The Record 74 because. It is a Record 74 and I had some VW red paint. BIL pranged his Polo.

What about cornflower blue? I thought it matched the profile of this American one quite nicely

At last I've started my "real" bench vice collection, a nicely restored Swindens 4" that probably weighs more than my bench. Upgraded bench due.

I love those chipping vices, always wanted one of those.

I finally picked up the 634 that a mate has been looking after for 3 years for me, looks in better condition than the advert made it look.

Couple of pics with the 633 as a size comparison.

I've just bought the Record 634s baby brother a 631 along with a Polish Buffalo swivel vice and a Sawyer Tool Co USA vice. They've already made their way into the house!.
