Not for me to judge really, can only comment on my own situation, but I don't see why not. I'm a bit curious as to what sort of money you might want for one of those leg vices now, although I've nowhere to put one I do really fancy- no, must resist!

Two of them I'm going to hold onto for now. The biggest one still needs some welding repair and I don't really have space for it at the moment so it's in bits in the shed. I'm hoping that when I finally move into a bigger workshop I'll have space to have it up somewhere and then I'll probably sell the smaller of the two.

The third one I have absolutely no space for so despite having got a lot of the rust off it, it's currently lying in the garden rusting again. It's missing the spring arm and the support plate is going to need some serious attention to get the wedge out. I'm waiting for lockdown to end and then it's going to appear on the "Freebies" board. I can't bear to see it go to metal recycling, but I don't have the time or space to give it the attention it deserves. Hopefully someone else on the forum will be able to do so once driving around to pick stuff up is allowed again.

Big drill vice
2 Steelrack woodworking vices
One small spigot mounted vice
One vintage clamp on cost
One aluminium hobby vice
One 30 mm vice screw and big flanged nut recovered from South Georgia in 1982
Lost a woden 4 inch engineers vice
Lost a Record 52 1/2 woodworking vice
2 3/4 dia 6tpi left hand trapezoidal threaded rods and brass square nuts , no idea what machine they are from ,
Must sell some of it soon

In my search for a new one I came across this vice, definitely like the size, can anyone comment on this brand/type/accuracy/quality?
It looks welded but I think this would be an easy repair if it would break again. Jaw width is a 180 mm .

That was also my first thougth, but it isn't.

I have been this construction on other vices as well, and think IT improves accuracy?

That looks as though someone has welded a sacrificial strip on to protect the slide when it's used as an anvil

Don't think so if you look closely you can see the recess IT slides in.

And I bougth it, it doesn't feel very refined but it is quite compact; its lower than my 6" Parkinsons 3C. No clue of the age off it.
First a few days with penetrating oil, to see if I can get the jaws off.
