no, must resist!
No don't.
Help a fellow member, by clearing space for him.
I don't need another vice.
Do I?
no, must resist!
I'm not particularly interested in collecting vices and I must admit I was surprised when I realised how many I had. ……………………………………………
…………………………………………………. I've only got one of each type of vice.
That's reasonable, isn't it?!?!?
Not for me to judge really, can only comment on my own situation, but I don't see why not. I'm a bit curious as to what sort of money you might want for one of those leg vices now, although I've nowhere to put one I do really fancy- no, must resist!

That was also my first thougth, but it isn't.I was trying to work out where the weld was. It looks like it's been welded closed. Is that right?
Don't think so if you look closely you can see the recess IT slides in.That looks as though someone has welded a sacrificial strip on to protect the slide when it's used as an anvil
And I bougth it, it doesn't feel very refined but it is quite compact; its lower than my 6" Parkinsons 3C. No clue of the age off it.In my search for a new one I came across this vice, definitely like the size, can anyone comment on this brand/type/accuracy/quality?
It looks welded but I think this would be an easy repair if it would break again. Jaw width is a 180 mm .

He'll be claiming that's his, like he does with my coffee mug

If he wants to claim it, he will have to pay for the DNA test.
Pfffts.
Mine is bigger.
