Isn't that one of the all-steel "unbreakable" top-drawer Records?
Nothing is unbreakable, in the right hands.

At £20 that vice is a "steel"never said it was, Its a vice to use and at £20 I am more than happy with it. , if painted will probably do it myford green..
Thanks for that, wabbit, and when I refer to their database, I do realise we already have a good resource in your dropbox pages - much appreciatedIt started with the anvils, then moved on to the vises in the US. I've watched these things for a while and the prices they pay for anvils now are insane and the vises are starting to catch up. I remember when they price of a bench vise in the US was less than one in the UK, that has now flipped.
I've noticed the price of anvils in the UK has risen considerably over the years and I wonder if vices will follow, the rarer vices already command quite a price here.
I will get mine out, pics and on here.
no, I'm afraid not, ------- we're now talking about anvils, ----- sooo - back to vises (as J Parkinson and sons would say)I hope to god we're still talking about bench vices.
$2000.oo rarity ? I missed that one, but am astonished at the prices the baby bullet vises are going for.Seems to have gone a bit quiet here.
So here's a Topic - them o'er the water on garage journal --- I tune in to that huge vise thread sometimes, ......................................the real interest is vises made in the good ole US of A - and certainly there're some good uns even if they go completely mad about Wilton ($2000 for a rarity anyone?). .......................................................
Well, you started it all back in 2015.I'm going to have to stop reading last post first.
