Here's an unusual one I got recently (it still needs a clean). I think it's an American Stephen's lever vise (there's no makers name on it but i've seen adverts for those that look like it), Patent is from 1860's I think, so it's old ! 3in1 can is for scale.
Also, a very Merry Christmas to all fellow vice (vise) fans.

the lever/end knob is very like that of the Entwistle and Kenyon, -- could there be a connection?
It also nudges my memory of some (UK?) patent pictures but can't find just now.
Anyhow, Great find and in fab condition for such an old vice. - I'm guessing there may be a central hole underneath for bench fixing and even swivelling?
