does anyone know when record changed the colour blue they used, i have several 52 1/2 survivor vices, several are of a darker blue and several a lighter blue, there is a clear colour change which coincides by the change in shape of the tommy bar ends
the lighter blue have rounded ends.

Not a Bench vice, per say.
But a vice on a bench vice, on a bench.
No it doesn’t show the colour and tommy bar end changes
yes thats my thoughts too, the darker blue is the colour of the RAF outer roundel, so ww2 and onwards, then maybe in the late 50s early 60s they went to the lighter blue and rounded off the tommy bar ends

I got this vice as I needed it for work.
I need one small enough to fit in a tool bag and be light weight.
Some of the back box's we have to use are brittler and will shatter if drilled. I found if I hold them in this sty;le vice, the breakage is reduced.

Nice! i have my great granfathers woden vice no 2 in the shed mounted on the bench. But my main vice is a pristen parkinsons no 8 (ther the best in opinion)
