J Woodhead Bradford Cramp wood vice with the lion crest from nearly 100 years earlier.

About 1850-70, sold as part of very heavy workbench with cast iron legs and iron/steel end vice - not common, but I'm lucky enough to have one (vice only, not the whole set-up)

Woodhead moved to Leeds, to the railway 'spring and buffer' market and then automobile springs and shock absorbers (eg well known Woodhead Shox) - shame they only made a few vices, but at least it gave them a start.

I also note that the aardvark said 'wait' - I suppose he either knew wabbit would have something or he's still swearing allegiance to all royalty and heirs (a long list)--- OR, --- more likely, concocting something for us - so wait

I have three of the Twentieth Century vices, they are all pretty rusty though.
I don't have a J Woodhead sadly though.

I'm not an expert on vices or vice pricing but assuming it's an older UK manufactured vice of good quality, and as I got mine above for £40 off ebay my guess is somewhere between £50-£100.
