The least we can do is something special for the lady or mom for some cases. Like I made a jewelry box, for my ma's 42nd b'day this year. I hope I get a printer/scanner, soon, just so I can show you boys what's up.

I read post prior to editing yesterday morning, I deal with immature young adults on a daily basis (fortunately not all are immature) I ignore immaturity with the contempt it deserves. If an individual don't want to learn/listen, I just leave them in ignorance.
However, I do appreciate anyone taking their metalwork/welding skills and putting to good use to produce a piece of quality work with a different medium, I stand by the remarks in my previous post.
Right, I'm off soon to watch a guy produce wood art using a chainsaw, should be interesting to view!

Hmmm, I'll reflect on this.
Yes, they would fighting words where I come from too. Think I got punched right back in the face also.

I wasnt in it at the time! lol some small person with a box of matches was to blame thankfully a lot of my main tools were in the back of my landy (she needed two new tyres and a re-spray on one side where the heat had a go....)

Hi,
yes, I assume in that case it's an extractor fan as it has wheels on the bottom and looks mains powered? For the summer heat (I hear it gets pretty hot in Texas)?
With the two vertical rails in there it looked like it was part of an airboat/hovercraft thrust system.

Thankfully i dont have oxy-acetylene else the price would have been simular to that of Kracatoa's!!!
The shed was in a field about 150yds away from the house. I was quite lucky in that most of my 'every day' tools were in the back of the landy (i was lazy and hadn't got as far as empting them out after a job the previous day). The most annoying thing was loosing all the little tools that i'd made over the years for doing difficult to reach parts. the loudest bang on the night was when a jerry can of petrol blew. apparently it made more noise because it was only half full... (any one shed some light on that one?!!)
The one good thing was the shed was covered by the insurance... the bad thing was that they dont cover most of the tools because i hadnt submitted an inventory. Lesson learned!!
i'm slowly rebuilding my tool stock now. and soon should have a payout from the insurance so i think a new welder is in the pipeline (mine died on monday.... Something about a hard life and too much abuse?!!)
